Mrs. Gonzalez-Reyes has also had a profound influence on our school’s culture. As Dean of Students, she has gained the trust and respect of students and families. She has helped struggling students to live the values and make school a place they feel safe and enjoy coming each day. In dealing with students and families, she is fair, compassionate, and diplomatic even in difficult or heated situations. She is effective in these conversations because she genuinely listens to and cares about each student. Many times I have seen guarded kids who can sense inauthenticity in others a mile away open up to her and trust her implicitly.
